WHERE?

Join me on this guided night photography tour in District 1 where we capture scenes of life in the city with some iconic buildings as our backdrop. We will also explore some interesting old apartment buildings that have been repurposed: great locations for moody, cinematic photographs.

WHAT?

We begin the walk with a discussion of photography interests as well as what individuals hope to achieve on the walk, or practice during the walk. I will guide the group and help to point out areas of interest. I will be on hand to answer any photography questions that you have, and to assist you in any way that I can in getting your shot. After the walk I am happy to sit and give feedback on the image created (if anyone is interested or feels they could benefit from that).

WHEN?

You can contact me to book your night tour of District 1 on a date and at a time that suits you. Customise your tour: on your private tour of District 1 you can choose which areas you would like to visit, whether you would like to stop for coffee or dinner at a local restaurant or street stall. Options in District 1 are plentiful - get in touch with your preference and I will plan accordingly). Collection and drop off from your hotel can be arranged.

Equipment Required: a good pair of shoes, a camera with a full battery, and an open mind.

Optional Equipment: a tripod for long exposures, and a flash or speed light.

This district has a few wonderful areas to explore if you know where to look, and like many areas in the city it comes alive on weekend mornings as residents take to the markets, which overflow with fresh produce. There are some wonderful shrines set against huge Banyan trees, and if we are lucky we might get a chance to see local musicians practicing and elderly gentlemen chatting over coffee with their collections of songbirds.
